Grown on the tobacco farms and flood plains of Western Massachusetts, then muscled up and down into the smokey basement rock shows of the Pioneer Valley. An American Singer, Songwriter, Poet and Visual Artist - Jake Klar is part of a new bohemian-renaissance, a community caught between the city and the town - artisans, writers, musicians, activists, slackers, stoners, skaters, noise heads, Do it yourself, %99, back to the land, fool hearted seekers.

A shadow in the city

where there is no moon

Currently working on a project titled “Until The Wild Fire Becomes Paradise” Klar combines a touring visual art experience, live music performance show and a poetry reading. In December 2016 he published an illustrated book of poems by the same name, and is soon releasing a new album of the same name.

Klar has released two previous albums: 2013 “Rocks & Gravel”, and 2014 “Crescent St. Blues”

Steeped in the roots of many who have come before… Jake Klar is an urgent meeting of folk, roots and good old rock and roll, that carries with it the kind of unbreakable spirit that makes music of this ilk undeniably powerful.
